Podcast Studio near Hackney – just off Hackney Road
If you're in Hackney and looking for somewhere to record, we're just around the corner. The First Studio is at Containerville on Emma Street, tucked just behind Hackney Road where Bethnal Green meets Hackney. We have two friendly, fully kitted studios for audio podcasts, video podcasts, interviews and content. To be clear, we're based in Bethnal Green, not in the middle of Hackney, but for most Hackney creators we're a short walk, bus ride or one train stop away.
What's included
Studio 101 is our warm, brown-panelled podcast and video room. It comes with professional microphones, a multi-camera HD setup, studio lighting, audio recording equipment and a flexible layout. Studio 102 is our bright, soft-cream space for photos, filming and dry hire. Both have Wi-Fi and the room is all yours for your session.
Never recorded before? That's absolutely fine. A technician is included at no extra charge until 31 December 2026 (normally £50/hr). They'll set up, sort your sound and help you feel at home behind the mic. Your raw files are delivered quickly after the session, and editing and social clips are available if you'd like us to take it from there.

Studio 102: £85/hr (two-hour minimum, £170). Half day (4 hours) £323, full day (8 hours) £646.
Studio 101: £110/hr (two-hour minimum, £220). Half day £418, full day £836.

Bethnal Green tube (Central line) is around a 10-minute walk.
Who it's for
Our studios suit first-time podcasters, local businesses, community groups, founders, coaches and creators who want a professional-looking show without a trip into central London. If you record regularly, take a look at our membership. It's built for people who create every week.
